anyway, aspirational toxic lesbian relationship energy aside, I’m gnawing on Aditi’s position as the Sunfire queen relative to the dragon monarchy because… what???? She’s not only respected enough as a neutral party to end a succession crisis and select the next dragon monarch, but she alleges that the dragons fear her wrath (which Kim’dael doubts) and that now that she has claimed Kim’dael as hers, they will not dare harm her.

Furthermore, she’s capable of using a magic adjacent to Kim’dael’s blood magic, which is itself implied to be adjacent to dark magic—whether this is deep magic or some secret fourth (fifth?) thing is undetermined.

Is she possibly also one of the first elves? But Karim describes Sunfire monarchy history that would surely be before her. Maybe the monarch of Lux Aurea takes on some kind of ancient, inherited power of that nature?

Maybe, if the Sunforge is the Sun nexus (which I am personally against but I’m willing to be wrong if this next bit is accurate), the guardian of the nexus takes on special powers of that primal and/or access to magic beyond the primals. Which would suggest Lujanne is similarly powerful, and don’t even try to tell me that wouldn’t be badass awesome.
